A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted on a street in Perth.
Emergency services were called to the Mill Street area after receiving reports of a serious assault at around 3am on Sunday.
A 28-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
Officers are now looking to trace two men, both described as about 6ft in height.
During the time of the attack, one man was wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans and the other had a light coloured jacket with a red top underneath.
Detective constable Mark Ross said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area at the time and who may have any information which could assist to contact us.”
