A man has been taken to hospital following an early-morning assault near a pub in Fife.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of an attack around 12.55am on Saturday morning on North Street in Leven.
A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital following the incident.
Officers have urged anyone with information to come forward, and added they are following a positive line of enquiry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.55am on Saturday, October 3, 2026, police received a report a man had been assaulted in North Street, Leven.
“Emergency services attended and a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number, 0158 of October 3, 2026.
“Police are following a positive line of inquiry.”
