A doctor-led team was airlifted to a rugby club after a player was injured following an accident on Saturday.
The Scottish Charity Air Ambulance (SCCA) mobilised a helicopter with a medical team to Strathmore Rugby Club after receiving reports of the incident on September 21.
After receiving treatment on the pitch, the player was transported to a hospital in Dundee for treatment
A post from the SCCA on X read: “SCAA airlifted a doctor-led team to a rugby accident in #Forfar at the weekend.
“Our helicopter landed at Strathmore Rugby Club allowing quick access to the injured player who was treated and then taken to hospital in Dundee.”
Strathmore RFC has taken to their own social media accounts to confirm that the player was discharged on September 22 after spending a night in hospital.
They wrote: “Some good news after the visit of the Scottish Air Ambulance.
“A young Dunfermline player, who spent the night in hospital, was released this morning with just some swelling and bruising. A huge thanks to the emergency services that responded in a slick and professional manner.”
