Scotland is being warned to prepare for potential flooding and travel disruption as the Met Office issues a yellow warning for heavy rain.
The warning is set to come into force from 10pm tonight until 10am on Saturday.
Friday’s yellow rain warning covers Aberdeen to Inverness including Stonehaven, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Aviemore, Banff, Elgin and Alness.
SEPA have flood alerts in place for most of the north of Scotland including Aberdeenshire, Caithness and Easter Ross.
They warn heavy rain could cause flooding impacts from rivers and surface water.
Difficult driving conditions and localised disruption to roads are possible and people are advised to check conditions before they travel.
The overnight rain is expected to clear away southeast in the morning.
