A hillwalker who failed to return from a climb in Perthshire has been traced safe and well.
A search was launched for John Alexander Gardiner after he was last seen in the mountains to the north east of Blair Atholl at around 7.30pm on Saturday, May 6.
The 32-year-old had earlier climbed Carn Nan Gabhar.
Police Scotland officers confirmed on Monday he had been traced, and thanked all those who had shared their appeal for information.
Volunteers from Tayside Mountain Rescue and the RAF Mountain Rescue Support Service took part in the search operation.
A spokesperson for Tayside Mountain rescue said: “The Team has been out over the past couple of days and overnight to search for a missing hillwalker in the Blair Atholl area.
“Thankfully the hillwalker has been found safe and sound.”
