An 18-year-old motorcyclist has died at the scene of a crash with a van in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Watermill Road in Fraserburgh around 3.10 pm on Thursday, involving a Lexmoto LXR 125 motorbike and a Volkswagen Transporter.
The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen did not require treatment. The road was closed and reopened around 11.30pm.
Sergeant Dave Cooper said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
