A motorcyclist has been left with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car in Angus.

Emergency services were called to Peasiehill Road in Arbroath after reports of a crash around 4.30pm on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old male rider of the Honda CBR was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The male driver of the Seat Leon was not injured.

The road was closed to allow officers to carry out crash investigations and reopened around 11.45pm.

Sergeant David Farr said: “I’m appealing for anyone who saw what happened or saw either vehicle before the crash to contact us.

“I’d also like to ask drivers with dash-cam footage of the area at the time to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
