Motorcyclist and passenger taken to hospital after crash with deer

A motorcyclist and rider have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a deer near Banff.

The collision occurred just before 2pm on Saturday, September 19, on the A98 road near the Aberdeenshire town.

Police confirmed the crash involved a motorcycle and a deer.

The male rider and female pillion passenger of the motorbike have been taken to hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 1.50pm on Saturday, September 19, police were called to a report of a crash involving a motorbike and a deer on the A98 near to Banff.

“The road is closed and members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

“Enquiries are ongoing.
