Google MapsA motorcyclist is fighting for his life after being hit by a double-decker bus on the A92.
Emergency services were called around 9pm on Friday to a crash involving a double-decker bus and a blue Yamaha motorcycle.
The collision took place on the road between Arbroath and Inverkeilor, at the junction for Cauldcots.
Emergency services attended, and the 37-year-old male rider was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.
The road was closed to allow for enquiries to be carried out and reopened around 5am on Saturday.
Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
