A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a “cherished” mum in a disturbance in Dundee.
Officers were called to a property on Milnbank Road on Sunday, December 6, following reports of the incident.
Lili Stojanova was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
The 54-year-old has been remembered as a woman of “remarkable talent” and a “true artist in every sense”.
In a statement released by Police Scotland, her family said: “We are heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Lili, a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter and a woman of remarkable talent.
“A true artist in every sense. She expressed herself through her art, which was a reflection of her gentle heart and unique soul. Losing her is a tragedy, and it is something our family is struggling to comprehend.
“As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we kindly ask for privacy and space to mourn and remember her in peace. We ask the public and media to respect our boundaries and allow us to honour her memory with the dignity and love she deserves.”
A 42-year-old man appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on December 8 in connection with the incident.
Investigations remain ongoing.
