Murder accused appears in court following death of woman in early hours

A 34-year-old woman died in hospital after emergency services were called at 2.30am on Wednesday.

A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of another woman in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to reports of an injured woman at an address on Auchinleck Road, in the city’s Tillydrone area, at around 2.30am on Wednesday.

A woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she died a short time later.

Police confirmed officers arrested a 30-year-old woman in connection with the death on Wednesday and she was subsequently charged.

Dionne Wilson, of Aberdeen, appeared at the city’s Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with murder.

She made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

She will appear in court again within the next eight days.
