A major roadway connecting Fife and Dundee has been closed in both directions due to a crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A92 Tay Road Bridge at around 5.55pm on Wednesday.
It is currently unknown if anyone has been injured in the incident.
Footage and images uploaded to social media appear to show an overturned semi-trailer truck on the bridge.
Vehicles in queue were spotted reversing off of the bridge.
A witness told STV News that the road had been open to cars and single decker buses only, with 30mph speed restrictions put in place ten minutes before the incident.
Police Scotland said officers remain at the scene while the bridge is closed to traffic from both directions.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police and emergency services are currently in attendance at a crash on the A92, Tay Bridge, that happened around 5.55pm on Wednesday, November 2.
“The bridge is currently closed in both directions and drivers are advised to avoid the area.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
