Part of the A96 has been closed after a pedestrian was hit by a HGV in Elgin.
Police were alerted to the serious crash around 8.30am on Friday morning.
The force confirmed that the A96 is closed between East Road and Reiket Lane as emergency services attend the scene.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area where possible.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are in attendance at serious crash on the A96 Elgin between pedestrian and HGV.
“The A96 is closed between East Road and Reiket Lane.
“Drivers asked to avoid the area.
“Any info or dash cam footage to Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0731 of May 10, 2024.”
