A person has appeared in court after Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court was “deliberately” set on fire.
Emergency services were called to the building on Whytescauseway around 4.50am on Thursday following reports of a door on fire.
Police confirmed that a 21-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Fayth Davidson made no plea during their appearance at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday.
The 21-year-old, from Fife, was charged with wilful fire-raising.
They were committed for further examination and remanded in custody pending their next court appearance within eight days.
