Person in hospital after car crashes through pharmacy window in Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire

A person is in hospital after a car crashed through the window of a pharmacy in an Aberdeenshire village.

Emergency services were called to Aulton Road in Cruden Bay shortly before 12.30pm on Monday, August 24 after receiving reports that a car had crashed through the window of Websters Pharmacy.

The Scottish Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and a special operations response team to the scene, and the male driver of the vehicle was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.30pm on Monday, August 24, 2026 police received a report of a car having crashed into a shop window in Aulton Road, Cruden Bay, Peterhead.

“Emergency services attended and the male driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

“Enquires are ongoing.”

Websters Pharmacy closed early for the day following the incident but said it will provide an update on the opening hours for Tuesday August 25. It advised that its pharmacy in Peterhead remains open for any urgent needs.
