A person has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out overnight at a house in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to reports of a dwelling fire near Harbour Road in Gardenstown, shortly before 5am on Thursday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched four fire engines to the scene, where crews remain in attendance.
One casualty was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.54am on Thursday, September 18, to reports of a dwelling fire near to Harbour Road in Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene.
“One casualty has been taken into care by the Scottish Ambulance Service. Crews remain in attendance.”
An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 4.57am to attend an incident near Harbour Road, Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire.
“We dispatched two ambulances and two special operations response team (SORT) to the scene. We transported one patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5am on Thursday, September 18, 2025, we were made aware of a fire in the Seatown area of Gardenstown.
“Emergency services are in attendance and one person has been taken to hospital.”
