A person has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on the A98 in Moray.

Emergency services were called to the crash involving three vehicles near Buckie at around 11.10am on Thursday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three fire engines to the scene.

One casualty was taken to Elgin’s Dr Gray’s Hospital by ambulance.

Another casualty was checked by paramedics at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.10am on Thursday, May 29, to reports of a road traffic collision on the A98.

“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene, where firefighters were met by a collision involving three vehicles.

“Firefighters worked to make the area safe and thereafter left the scene.

“One casualty was transferred by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel to Elgin’s Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment.

“An additional casualty was assed at the scene by ambulance service staff, but did not require to attend hospital.”

Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
