Rescue teams were involved in a two-hour operation after a teenager got into difficulty after falling into a gorge in Blairgowrie.
Emergency services, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and mountain rescuers raced to Cargill’s Leap at around 7.30pm on July 10.
The SFRS sent two appliances and a number of specialist resources to the scene as firefighters assisted mountain rescuers.
It took two hours to bring the teenager to land.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.31pm on Monday, July 10 to reports of a person in difficulty at Cargill’s Leap, Blairgowrie.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and a number of specialist resources, including water and line rescue to the area where firefighters assisted Mountain Rescue in the rescue of one casualty who had fallen down an embankment.
“Crews left the scene at 9.30pm once the casualty had been brought to land.”
Tayside Mountain Rescue Team added: “The team were called out last night to work alongside our colleagues at SFRS with the complex extraction of a teenager who had fallen into a gorge in the Blairgowrie area.
“We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
