Pictures show the aftermath of a massive fire that gutted a McDonald’s restaurant in Angus on Tuesday.
Fire crews were called to the fast food outlet in Monifieth shortly before 1.15am on November 21.
It is understood there were five employees who were on shift at the time. McDonald’s confirmed the restaurant was safely evacuated.
No casualties have been reported as a result of the blaze.
Four fire appliances and a high reach appliance were dispatched to the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crew remained at the scene on Tuesday morning.
The A92 between West Grange Roundabout and Ethiebeaton Roundabout was closed by police while emergency services responded but the road has since reopened.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 1.13am on Tuesday, November 21 to a fire at a commercial property at Ethiebeaton Park, Monifieth.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and a high reach appliance to the scene.
“No casualties have been reported, one crew remain on scene.”
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “Following a serious fire onsite, our Monifieth – Arbroath Road restaurant is currently closed.
“All employees on shift at the time were safely evacuated and the fire and emergency services are still in attendance at the scene.”
