Proposals to build 256 new homes in Cairneyhill have come a step closer after Fife councillors agreed to amend planning conditions.
Permission was granted for the properties on land south of Pitdinnie Farm in February last year.
The latest application, which was considered by Fife Council’s West and Central Planning Committee on Wednesday, sought consent to change the wording of one of the agreed planning conditions on a preliminary ecological appraisal.
In an effort to avoid duplication, a request to delete another condition was also made.
Council service manager (development management) Alistair Hamilton said the application was looking to review the wording.
He explained: “The section 75 is progressing. The request came from the developer and no real planning reason to refuse it.
“It doesn’t substantively make a difference.
“It is putting consolidation, mitigation and enhancement measures into one. In essence, it does not change what is required to be done because that is still to be delivered, but the way it is worded and constructed is clearer, more concise and more enforceable.”
Councillors unanimously agreed to approve the application.
