LDRSCouncillors have granted planning permission for 78 new homes in Crieff.
There were no public objections to the application for a site originally allocated as part of a wider development.
Perth and Kinross Council’s Planning and Placemaking Committee met to consider the new plans – submitted by Campion Homes – on July 6.
The Fife-based builders applied to Perth and Kinross to build 78 houses on land 90 metres east of Hebridean Gardens, Kincardine Road, Crieff.
The application was for 10 two-bedroomed terraced houses, 25 three-bedroomed terraced/semi-detached/detached houses, 34 four-bedroom detached houses, and nine five-bedroomed detached houses.
The plans include an area of green open space – which will have a play area – at the centre of the site.
There will be more open space at the south-east corner of the site as well as a SUDS pond – for drainage – and further landscaping.
The previous planning permission granted for the site in 2007 was only implemented in part and remained extant.
Conservative councillor Bob Brawn moved the plans for the 3.8 hectare site on the south east of Crieff for approval.
Cllr Ian James seconded and added: “It’s been before us before so I’m very happy to second.”
