Police are appealing for information after copper cabling worth £130,000 was stolen from two different sites in Dunfermline.
Officers said cables were removed from Bellyeoman Park, off Robertson Road in the city between Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16.
A similar incident took place in a field adjacent to Buckyburn Place between December 11 and 18 last year.
The combined cost of the materials was in excess of £130,000 and the theft involved heavy machinery.
Sergeant Gayle Hopton said: “Enquiries are continuing into this high-value theft and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around this time to come forward.
“If you saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area, including any suspicious vehicles or heavy machinery, please contact police immediately.”
