A man has been taken to hospital and 20 children have been left with minor injuries following a road crash involving a school bus and two cars in Aberdeenshire.
The incident took place on the A944 between Alford and Westhill, at around 4.05pm on Monday.
The school bus, which was carrying 20 passengers, was involved in a collision with a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver Volvo V40.
The passengers of the bus, aged between 12 and 16, were left with minor injuries, while a 39-year-old male, who was driving the Volkswagen, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries as a result of the incident.
A 65-year-old male, who was driving the bus, suffered minor injuries and a 52-year-old male, who was the driver of the Volvo, was uninjured.
Sergeant Steve Manson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and I would urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the road around the time.
“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 2155 of 7 February, 2022.”
