Police called to school after 'person with weapon' seen nearby

Police were called to a school in Dundee after a person with a ‘weapon’ was spotted nearby.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident near St John’s RC High School at around 2.45pm on Tuesday.

Officers attended the scene in the Glenaffric Terrace area of the city, however, no weapon was recovered.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.35pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, officers received a report of a person with what was believed to be a weapon in the Glenaffric Terrace area of Dundee.

“Officers attended however no weapons were recovered.”
