Police are hunting for a suspect after two men were attacked at the top of a stairwell in Dundee city centre.
Two men, aged 63 and 70, were assaulted at the top of a stairwell leading to Cowgate at around 1.10am on Saturday.
One of the men attended Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
Police are now hunting for a man around 45 years old, 5ft 8in tall, of average build, with short brown and grey hair. He was wearing a grey long-sleeved top.
He took off in the direction of East Marketgait, running into the tunnel towards the Ladywell roundabout.
Detective sergeant Ryan Thompson said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have been in and around King Street, Dundee at the time to please come forward.
“We are carrying out a review of CCTV footage to identify the suspect.
“I would ask motorists with dash-cams to review the footage, in case they have captured something that can assist our enquiries.”
