Police have launched an investigation after a fire at an abandoned care home in Dundee.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four fire engines to the former St Joseph’s Wellburn Care Home on Liff Road, when the alarm was raised at around 2.53pm on Saturday.
Emergency services remain at the scene of the derelict building as they continue to tackle the blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called to reports of a fire at a building on Liff Road, Dundee at around 3pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
“Officers are assisting with traffic management in the area.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.53pm on Saturday, June 11, to reports of a derelict building on fire Liff Road, Dundee.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to Inchconnachan Island, where crews are continuing to battle the fire.
“There have been no casualties.”
