Police have recovered a haul of stolen kayaks that are believed to have been pinched from clubs and events across the country.
The discovery was made at a rural property near to Inverurie in Aberdeenshire on Monday, April 19.
Investigating officers said the kayaks and associated equipment are likely to have been gathered “over a period of time”.
Inquiries into the thefts are ongoing, with officers working to identify and contact the owners of the equipment.
Constable Chris Williamson said: “It is suspected that the items were stolen from various kayaking clubs and events from across the UK, likely over a period of time.
“With that in mind, we are asking for anyone who has had kayaks or kayaking equipment stolen over the last few years to please get in contact.”
“If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, call police on 101.”
