Four teenagers have been charged in connection with two fires on the same day in Aberdeen.
Three of the boys were arrested over the blaze at 12.40pm on Monday at The Green that caused Union Street to close for two hours.
The same three teens, all 13, were also charged alongside another 13-year-old in connection with a second fire at around 1.30pm on Victoria Road.
Detective sergeant Craig Murray, of CID in Aberdeen, said: “Fire-raising is extremely dangerous, and it was very fortunate the fires did not spread as the consequences could have been far greater.
“This type of incident is completely unacceptable and thankfully no one was hurt as a result of either of these incidents”
A report will be submitted to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
