BT has fixed an issue that caused an outage across the north east of Scotland.
Police previously urged people across Aberdeenshire and Moray to use their mobile phones for emergency 999 calls after BT reported growing outages.
The areas included Inverurie, Alves, Tomintoul, Banff, Aberchirder, Portsoy and Eden.
Police Scotland said the issue only affects landlines, including the use of emergency services.
The force had urged people who have to make 999 calls to do so on a mobile phone, or to attend a police station.
But in an update, officers said the problem had been fixed.
