Police seal off church following discovery of 'possible human material'

Police have sealed off a church in Perth following the discovery of “possible human remains”.

Officers were called to Trinity Church of the Nazarene on York Street on Wednesday following the discovery.

Investigations are said to be at an early stage.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, officers received a report of possible human material at a church on York Street, Perth.

“Enquiries are at an early stage and anyone with any information can contact police on 101, quoting reference 2440 of Wednesday, November 26, 2025.”
