Police say extensive searches are ongoing at a river and wooded area in Aberdeenshire for a man last seen a week ago.
Jonathan Parsons, known as Jay, was last seen in Yule Square in Huntly around 7.15am on Thursday, July 3.
The 40-year-old’s vehicle was then discovered at Battle Hill car park in the town.
He is described as around 5ft 7in tall with brown hair and was last seen wearing blue trousers, boots, and a green rucksack.
Officers say extensive searches are ongoing in Huntly, as well as the River Bogie and Battle Hill Woods areas.
Police are urging local residents to check their sheds and outbuildings in case he has sought shelter.
Inspector Barry Stewart said: “We are concerned for Jay’s welfare and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or knows where he may be to come forward.
“We also ask local residents to check their sheds and outbuildings in case he has sought shelter.”
