Police have launched an investigation after a man was struck “multiple times” with a metal pole on a street in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to reports of the attack on Dura Street at around 9.50am on Wednesday.

Officers are now searching for a man in connection with the incident.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall, of medium build, with short dark hair and was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information, private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area, is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0761 of 7 January.
