Man driving Porsche dies following one-vehicle collision

A man has died after the Porsche he was driving was involved in a one-vehicle collision in Perth and Kinross. 

The incident, involving a grey Porsche 911 Carrera, occurred around 5pm on Saturday on the B954 between Alyth and Meigle. 

Emergency services attended the scene however the 47-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other vehicles were involved in the collison. 

The road was closed between Alyth and Meigle while a full crash investigation was carried out and later reopened at midday on Sunday. 

Sergeant Kevin Wilkie, of Perth Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and our thoughts are with the driver’s family at this difficult time.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.”
