An investigation has been launched after tobacco products were stolen during a break-in at a shop in Perth.

The Day-Today shop on Dunkeld Road was broken into at around 4.40am on Tuesday.

The man responsible was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit with a hooded top and white trainers. He was last seen heading in the direction of Crieff Road near to Stanley Crescent.

Detective Constable Steven Cochrane said: “I would urge anyone who was in this area early on Tuesday morning who witnessed anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, to please contact us.

“Anyone who was in the Dunkeld Road, Crieff Road or Stanely Crescent areas with any personal or dashcam footage is asked to review it and please get in touch if it holds anything which could be relevant.”

Those with information have been asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting reference number 0353 of November 11.
