Members of the public are being asked to be vigilant of fake £50 notes being used in shops across Fife.
Police said a number of incidents of the counterfeit money being used in large and small retailers and for online purchases were reported to officers across the west of the region.
The areas involved include Dunfermline, Lochgelly and Dalgety Bay.
Shop owners in particular are being asked to remain vigilant for the fake notes.
If anyone has any information or is aware of anything suspicious, they are asked to contact police on 101.
