A Ranger Rover collided with a wall after it allegedly failed to stop when signalled to do so by police on Tuesday.

Officers were made aware of the car being driven erratically on Springfield Road in Aberdeen at around 12.25pm.

The vehicle reportedly made off after it was signalled to stop. The Range Rover later crashed into a wall on Great Western Road near the junction with Anderson Drive and abandoned.

Officers traced and arrested two men, aged 19 and 21, in connection with the incident. An investigation is still ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers became aware of a vehicle being driven erratically on Springfield Road in Aberdeen around 12.25pm on Tuesday, 28 January.

“The vehicle failed to stop when signalled by officers and made off.

“The vehicle was subsequently involved in a crash on Great Western Road near the junction with Anderson Drive and abandoned.

“Two men, aged 19 and 21, were subsequently traced and both have been arrested in connection with the incident.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
