Human remains have been found during the search for a woman who was thought to be missing after an Aberdeenshire house fire.
Emergency services were called to the blaze near Harbour Road in Gardenstown shortly before 5am on September 18
Four fire engines were sent to the scene. One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
One woman, who was thought to be in the building, was unaccounted for.
However, Police Scotland has since confirmed that human remains have been recovered from the property after a five-day search.

Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of the woman who was within the property has been made aware.
Police specialist teams are continuing their work at the scene, and a joint investigation is being carried out with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
