Police Scotland confirmed that Crieff Road, between Tulloch Road and Fairfield Road, was closed down from 8.50am on Wednesday (August 19).
The child was taken to hospital for treatment.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
