A road has been closed in both directions after a lorry caught fire during the early hours in Perthshire.
Traffic Scotland warned road users the A9 between Broxden and Inveralmond was closed after 3.27am on Tuesday due to a vehicle catching fire.
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service still attending the scene as of 6.33am.
Traffic Scotland posted on X: “The A9 between Broxden and Inveralmond is currently closed in both directions due to a vehicle fire.
“Motorists are advised to use an alt route at this time.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.50am on Tuesday, 1 October, 2024, we received a report a lorry had broken down and subsequently caught fire near Broxden roundabout, Perth.
“There were no reports of any injuries and recovery was arranged.”
The SFRS have been contacted for comment.
