A road has been closed in a village in Moray due to after a man was found dead.
Emergency services were called to Fochabers High Street at around 5.35am after they were alerted to concerns for a man.
A 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road between Westmoreland Street and East Street was closed by officers as enquiries were carried out.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.35am on Tuesday, 10 February, 2026, we were called to a report of concern for a man on High Street, Fochabers.
“Officers attended and a 74-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There would not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
