A section of the A90 has been locked down following a serious road crash.
The road, between Crimond and Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, has been closed in both directions for around four hours.
Emergency services were alerted to the two-vehicle crash at around 7.30am on Monday.
Police said the collision happened near to St Fergus.
A force spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Monday, October 5, officers received reports of a two-vehicle crash on the A90 near St Fergus.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed in both directions.”
Diversions have been put in place while the road is closed.
Traffic Scotland urged drivers to avoid the area and use an alternative route where possible.
