A robin which became entangled in chicken netting in a skip has been rescued by an animal charity.
The little bird was found trapped in New Deer, Aberdeenshire by members of the public.
After being freed, the robin was taken to the North East Animal and Rescue Centre, also known as The New ARC, where the bird received specialist care.
In a Facebook post, the Ellon-based charity said: “This lucky robin was rescued from New Deer after it was found tangled in chicken netting in a skip.
“After attempting to free the bird, the finders got in touch and swiftly brought him in to be assessed.
“We are glad they did as the bird was very tangled and required precautionary care for constriction injuries.
“Having made a full recovery the bird is to be released shortly.”
