A Scottish airline has rung in the new year in style after one of its pilots was spotted writing a giant message in the sky.
The Loganair flight was spotted taking off from Aberdeen shortly after noon on Hogmanay before navigating over the North Sea and landing in Inverness.
However, those tracking the plane through app FlightRadar noticed the pilot had written an enormous number 23 over the North Sea.
The Tweet was shared hundreds of times online with others chipping in with their New Year messages.
