An animal welfare charity has launched an urgent appeal after a “seriously underweight” dog was found on a hill in Banffshire.
The struggling animal was discovered in the area between Keith and Buckie last Sunday.
Rescuers managed to get the dog off the hill and he is now in the care of Scottish SPCA’s Aberdeenshire centre.
Staff say they estimate him to be around two to three years old and added that he is not neutered or microchipped.
The charity is now appealing for any witnesses for more information.
A spokesperson said: “If you have any information about how he came to be in the area in such poor condition please call 03000 999 999.”
