Police are searching for a missing man whose car was found abandoned near a bridge.

Sandy Scott Barron, from Inverbervie in Aberdeenshire, was last heard from by his family on July 18.

The 37-year-old’s black Dacia Duster, registration SD67 SXG, was found unoccupied on a track off the B846 south of Tummel Bridge in Perthshire around 5.30pm on July 22.

Sandy is now being treated as a missing person, and investigations are ongoing to trace him.

He is described as being white, 5ft 11in tall and of slim build with short brown hair.

Sergeant Colin Duff, of Perth Police Station, said: “We are working to establish Sandy’s movements, and I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him or his black Dacia Duster at any point in recent days to get in touch as a matter of urgency.

“From enquiries carried out so far, it is possible he may have travelled in the direction of Kinloch Rannoch.

“If anyone believes they may have seen him, please call 101 quoting reference 2645 of July 22.”
