A search has been launched to find a man, woman and teenage girl after concerns for their safety were reported to police.
Officers in Arbroath are appealing for information amid safety concerns for the three people last seen on Tuesday evening between 6.50pm and 7.10pm.
The force say there were no visible signs of distress however they received information which has promoted a public appeal.
The group entered a supermarket on Dundee Road, bought groceries and spent around 15 minutes inside before leaving and driving off in a black car.
Police were then contacted and CCTV has been released to the public as part of the search.
A police statement said: “Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the public after concern was raised for three people in Arbroath. Officers are releasing CCTV images of the three people and are asking them to contact them to confirm they are safe and well.
“Extensive enquiries have been carried out to identify the three people, however, they have yet to be located.”
Inspector Jill Dolan said: “The people may be surprised to see themselves on CCTV and if they do see the images I would ask them to contact us.
“There were no outward signs of distress from any of the individuals but we received information which we have to respond to. If anyone recognises the people in the images or has any information please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4405 of June 13, 2023.
