Seven people have been injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Aberdeenshire left a car wedged between a tree and a wall.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A92 at Walker Drive in Muchalls, Newtonhill around 12.40pm on Friday afternoon.
Seven ambulances and three specialist teams were deployed with four casualties taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and three treated at the scene.
Fire crews also attended, mobilising four appliances and special resources to the scene.
Police said officers remain at the scene and the road has been closed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm we were called to reports of a crash involving a number of vehicles on the A92 at Walker Drive, Muchalls, Newtonhill.
“Officers are at the scene and the road is closed.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.49pm to attend an incident on the A92 between Bridge of Muchalls and Newtonhill.
“Seven ambulances, two special operations response teams (SORT) and a trauma team were dispatched to the scene.
“Four patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and three patients were treated and discharged at the scene.”
