A student has been found dead at a university campus on Wednesday morning.
Robert Gordon’s University has confirmed that a student’s body was discovered on site at the campus on Garthdee Road in Aberdeen on November 20.
RGU say they are cooperating with emergency services following the death.
An email has been sent to students who attend the North-East university detailing the support services available for those impacted.
A spokesperson for RGU, said: “RGU can sadly confirm that the body of a student was found on its campus this morning (Wednesday 20 November). The University is liaising with the emergency services and is supporting the student’s family as well as the entire University community.
“This is a very sad situation and our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
