A man has been charged after an assault at a nightclub in Dundee left another man in hospital.
Police were called to reports of an assault at a club on St Andrew’s Street in the city centre at around 1.50am on Sunday, April 28.
A man was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be treated for injuries following the assault.
On Monday, police confirmed a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, April 29.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.50am on Sunday, April 28, 2024, officers were called to a report of an assault at a nightclub on St Andrew’s Street, Dundee.
“A 27-year-old male was arrested and charged with the incident.
“A man was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following the incident.
“The 27-year-old man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday, April 29, 2024.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
