Volunteers from a mountain rescue team had to leave a wedding early following reports of “flashing lights”.

Tayside Mountain Rescue Team received four callouts last week, with the final one resulting in team members leaving a wedding.

Volunteers arrived in the Glen Doll area of the Cairngorms after they were alerted to lights seen flashing. The incident was declared a false alarm, and they returned to the wedding to carry on with the celebrations.

A Facebook post from the volunteer group read: “Four Call Outs last week, culminating in a call out when team members left a wedding to check lights flashing in the Glen Doll area.

“Luckily, it was a false alarm with good intent, and they were able to rejoin the wedding party.”
